Well, i've been here for coming 3 months now, and i'm so happy where i am that i so do not want to leave come Jan 11... So many of the people at MSE where i work all ask me to extend my program, but two things is stopping me from doing so...
1. The biggest thing is that i'm on a visa and it expires Jan 11, and it is technically impossible to extend that visa, hence i cannot extend my program.
2. All the CP/ICP that i love working with are mostly leaving on Jan 4th or Jan 11th, which means alot is going to change down at MSE.
Anyway, guest are starting to amuse me with all the dumb stuffs they do at Disney... Here are the top favourites:
1) Speaking to me in a language that i have already indicated millions of times and trying to tell them million of times that i dun speak that language. The best part is that i can tell them "No Hablo Espanol" which means i don't speak spanish and they still blabber on in spanish.
Hello!!! Its not as if i could magically speak or understand spanish in like 30 sec or shorter than that!!!
2) This has happened many a times esp. when i'm working at a cart. A guest would come up to me when i'm at the register, and tell me, i wanna pay for that, pointing in the direction of the crowd. Apparently, that guest's kid or kids ran off after they got whatever they wanted.
Hello!!! How can i tell which one is your kid or tell what did it ran off with???
3) Something like the No.2, this time, the whole family is by the cart, however, only the dad or the mum is standing by the register. And they always go: "I would like to pay."
One question. What is it you guys are paying for??? You don't bring the stuffs to me or even tell me what you guys got...
4) A continuation of No. 3. This is the most classic example of what many guest loves to do! Like No. 3, the guest and family is by the cart, the dad and mum is standing by the register. Guest goes: " I got one "something", another "something" and lastly "this". How much?"
Let me see, what should i reply??? $100 or $1000. I can't magically calculate the price or scan it into the cash register if you do not bring the product to me!!!
5) Something similar to No. 4. However, this time is regarding the price of a product before purchasing. A guest would come up to you and ask, "How much?" while holding on or pointing to a particular product. What do you want my reply to be? "$100 or $1000?" Price tags are always on almost everything we sell, just check the bloody tag!!! And one more thing, we have like a million products of different pricing, if i can remember all of them, i won't be working for Disney already.
This is not all, but is what most of them do while purchasing something or involves products that we sell.
Sometimes we (cast members) just wonder if Disney is so magical that they can make everyone dumb. In fact, most of these are done by adults. For example, i had a kid today who took down the product, checked the tags to see the price and then came up to me and ask me if i could check him out while handing the product to me. And many a times, kids always check the product tags for the price before paying. WHY CAN'T ADULTS DO THE SAME!!!
